I've been assigned an article in my school paper on the fall of the Berlin Wall. I am allowed to editorialize it, so I am taking an angle, but of course I don't want to glorify the blunders of the Soviet Bloc. I posted here instead of on the general history thread because I don't want to have a bunch of "anti-revisionists" and Maoists talking about how East Germany and the USSR were paradises. I was wondering if you could help me pull some resources on developing a true Leninist view of the fall of the Berlin Wall and how state capitalism and imperialism affected it and what it means in the imperialist epoch. Any help would be much appreciated comrades.
In the November issue of Socialism Today, there is a featured article on the Berlin wall. It isn't online yet though, so you'll have to wait a few more days.
