Study group

Several members mentioned they would like to have a study group. I will have some time during the next 2 weeks to head a discussion but my question is what is the question comrades would like answered? What are you interested in, is there any books you wanted to read?

I think we should seriously consider to find a counterargument on the revolution betrayed by Leon Trotsky.

No Black Rifle, that has been done many times before, and I think we should focus on the here and now rather than refuting Trotsky's analysis of the USSR, that's finished and gone; and both the Trots and us lost.

If we are going to create a study group, I think we should compile books and resources of contemporary analysis from an Anti-Revisionist perspective. That would be super cool.

Yeah, USSR is long gone. Now, I am waiting for the study group. There is plenty of book but I will leave it to you all.

I agree with both MKHAB and Black Rifle, just that we need to decide what exactly we are going to do- studying a certain book, or doing research. If we decide to go for books, I would take anything on the post-revolutionary situation of the USSR and what effect it had on theory. If we go for research, I'd take the study of contemporary anti-revisionism/Marxism-Leninism.

Well personally, I would LOVE to know more about communist society, it's something I really don't know that much about it and definitley one of the most interesting aspects of Marxism.

I don't know if any of you guys are up (or able) for it, we'll all be dead anyways by the time communism rules around.

    Just a suggestion.

I would suggest organization and the study to see how far our sectarian need to be or not need to be. I would also suggest how to avoid social-imperialism caused by the revisionist USSR. Other recommendation is how the Party of Labour of Albania managed through the isolationist, and what was needed to prevent the fall of Socialist Albania.

Yes, a very good read, despite overusing words such as 'lies', etc; these things are rather unnecessary. However, I am much more interested in the statistics provided in it- I will be doing some research with Soviet archives soon, so this will be very useful.

Sorry for crazy thread necromancing, this thread just somehow passed me. I just finished reading what Tupac posted.. very, very nice. Do you guys have any more pro-Stalin works other than Another View of Stalin and what he posted?

Also, do you guys know of any cool documentaries which are worth watching? (i.e anti-revisionist ones, which defend Mao, Stalin, Hoxha etc)
  12. hugsandmarxism
Agreed with mosfield. A documentary or two on the subject would be interesting.
