My experience with the ICC

Let me begin by noting this thread is intended to mirror the thread by Marmot: my experience with the mexican icc)

Last weekend, myself and the RL user SocialismeOuBarbarie (formerly SyndicalismeouBarbarie) met up with two ICC militants who graciously made time to meet up with ourselves whilst on an aptly time visit to Sydney.

Discussion centered on two main topics - clarification of and the correction of misunderstandings re the union question; and organisational matters and "the left" in Australia. The discussion had was certainly not as deep or contentious as could be desired, this can be put down to lack of preparation on our part as well as - I feel - the closeness our positions to those of the ICC (here I speak only for myself), common ground which provides for less wide ranging debate and disagreement.

I was also able to purchase a number of materials including a subscription to International Review, SouB arranging to receive copies of World Revolution for distribution.

All in all, the meet up was enjoyable and very much worthwhile. Like Marmot, I've come out the other side enthused, motivated and with an orientation for the future - with SouB and I currently discussing the establishment of a discussion group.

Glad that the meeting went well, looking to here more from the comrades who met you. Discussion group is excellent idea!
Noccolo: I noticed that you were discussing Rosa Luxemburg's theory of accumulation on another thread and tried to give you some support, but the discussion seems to have petered out. Any thoughts about it?

Niccolò and I have been discussing it () and trying to sort out finer details about it - just a matter of time, really. Wont be long.
