Before this group was created there has been some length of discussion about it and there was certainly no consensus on the need for one. You can read the discussion here. As such I would like to make clear what in my opinion the purposes of this group should be: 1. Have specific, but public, CWI discussions, typically among CWI members. 2. Act as a kind of "embassy" for the organisation on RevLeft. RevLeft is full of people looking for clear answers on the failings of capitalism. This group serves as a low barrier first contact where questions can be asked, etc. 3. Serve as a central node for announcements on whatever activity we organise wherever. It is furthermore encouraged to use the Trotskyist Group for more generic questions on Trotskyism. Discuss.
This group should fit CyM's idea of "transparant grouping" as opposed to "unrecognized sectarianism" .
