recommend eachother books and articles and stuff The Black Panthers Speak - the classic collection of writings from the early years of the panthers. Seize The Time: The Story of the Black Panther Party and Huey P Newton by Bobby Seale - a great narrative on the early years. The Huey P Newton Reader - a good collection of some of Huey's writings.
I'd like to recommend Assata Shakur's biography, there is quite a lot of good stuff on the Panthers in there, she also talks a bit about her life in Cuba which is a bonus. There is also a good book published by the Huey Newton Foundations called Service to the People Programs, it's all about the social and community work of the Panthers.
Cool. I've got Assata Shakur's biography but havn't read it yet..
