I can see your point. But Hardcore is hardcore and that's also
    the way it should be.

    Yes: We are rigid!
Yes: We are the bottom of the barrell!
Yes: We may be unimaginative and not sophisticated!
Yes: We are honest - and speak up!
    Yes: We are offensive!

    and...

    No: We never sell out!

I can see your point. But Hardcore is hardcore and that's also
The way I see it, there's a difference between hardcore and anarcho-punk. Hardcore is more about the excitement of the music although the lyrics can be important too, in anarcho-punk the music is secondary to the message... and quite frankly often sucks, sometimes even deliberately so (see Crass's "Yes Sir I Will" album).

In hardcore, you can get away with anything lyrically as long as the music's hard driving and 'physically exciting' (Gang Green's "Kill A Commie"). Anarcho-punk tends to be less physical and more didactic.

Of course you get bands like MDC or Discharge that are both hardcore and anarcho-punk.
