What are everyone's thoughts on good feminist approaches to parenting--both under the current system, and under an ideal one?

    Huge question...

The simple answer would be that 'feminist parenting' is parenting without conventional gender roles. While this could occur within a conventional marriage, it is unlikely to be wholly coherent within such a patriarchal framework.

It is important to note that feminist parenting is the basis of undermining conventional gender roles within society, and coupled with a progressive and critical education, is the foundation for a more egalitarian society.

Within an 'ideal society' it is unlikely that the locus of attention would be based around the 'family unit,' rather, around the society or community. Hence it is difficult to say what parenting would look like under such a society, for it would require us to occupy a perspective currently unavailable to most.

What do you mean by conventional marriage?
Marriage as a religious institution, upheld by the state, designed to ratify a partnership between 'a man and a woman, under the eyes of God, etc...'
