Hi! I agree with the goal of a party that keeps codified Socialist principles in place along with a certain Libertarian orientation. I also like the idea of being inclusive to those outside of the working left without betraying our underlying principles of ideology. I see a whole host of practical potential here; provided that we made our language inviting and promising, without sounding overly strident, while still making abundantly clear our commitment to the Communist way. We can certainly attract quite a few souls by taking this approach. Let's break it up into the following: 1. - strategy to attract pure Communists 2- strategy to attract more Libertarian- minded people 3- strategy to maximize the potential of both We should do this, mind you, by justifying things practically for the sake of unity under an all- inclusive banner that still does not betray our ideological under girding, as you said. In what would be an event very beneficial to the planning and structure of this group, if you would like my further thoughts, just let me know. Brent
Sounds about right to me... even if everybody on the board joined (which will never happen ) the purpose would ultimately be to convert the unconverted. Language is definitely going to be a big part of that and we should always be considering how we word things and so on.
Ideas are always welcome, it's Open Source and not set in stone.
