Just somethread I started in the MLM group that might help begginers here:

First Cmdr.ind-com posted these two links regarding electoral boycotts from the CPI-Maoist: http://southasiarev.wordpress.com/20...tion-boycotts/ and http://sanhati.com/excerpted/1793/

Then Cmdr. xvzc contributed with highly detailed links:

    And commented:

    Some points:

    (1) In countries where People's War has not been initiated, all communist work should be directed towards the initiation of it. Parliamentarism obstructs this development and present the illusion of CP development as separate from the task of constructing a People's Army and United Front, smashing the bourgeois state and establishing proletarian dictatorship, that People's War can be postponed until a later date "when the time is right" and not something which is actively worked towards.

    (2) Electoral boycotts serve the task of accumulating those with the most advanced consciousness into the ranks of the vanguard and heightening consciousness in general, whereas parliamentary cretinism -- a product of revisionist degeneration -- is based on tailing pacified masses and actively weakens the vanguard. The entire 20th century "October Road" experience demonstrates this.

    (3) Electoral boycotts creates clear lines of demarcation and two respective poles between the old reactionary state and the new revolutionary power gradually emerging through extra-parliamentary means.

    (4) Boycotting for individualist reasons is absolutely meaningless, and for any boycott to yield results and bear meaning it needs strategic orientation and organization.

Finnally Cmdr. thalmann ended with the classic PCP statement: http://www.redsun.org/pcp_doc/pcp_0590.htm

    ELECTIONS, NO! PEOPLE'S WAR, YES!
