This thread is to start seeing what skills people have, and what corresponding roles they could perform.

Journalists- DrZaiu5, Comrades Unite!, jookyle, negative creep, Workers-Control-Over-Prod.

Programmers- regicollis

Researchers- negative creep, Teddy Ilyich Otterman, Workers-Control-Over-Prod.

Graphic Designers- Comrade Dracula, Regicollis, BAΠTEP

Promoter- DrZaiu5

Translators- negative creep

Just comment which you can and would be interested in doing. Feel free to volunteer for more than one.

I'm a journalist and for peoples information, Me, Positivist,JPSartre and Red Spark will be assuming the roles of editor.

I'll get to work on a few articles ASAP and save them to my laptop Comrade.

What kind of things do you want to write about, Comrades Unite?
I'm thinking that I'd like to do analyses/critiques of the electoral system and contemporary politics, and how the policies (domestic, foreign, economic, etc) impact the proletariat.

Yes JPSartre, Comrades Unite!, The_Red_Spark and I will be assuming the roles of effecitve editors just to provide woke structure to the submission process but I also think we should employ a sort of democratic editing mechanism where articles will be posted to the group and be critically examined by the entire membership.

I am keeping an open mind to what my writings will be about, I am a spontaneous writer,I will write about what comes up in my mind or whatever.

I haven't started any writings yet as its 4 in the morning and I would rather be wide awake.

Comrade Positivist,I agree with you somewhat.
I don't think they should post an article here first and have it reevaluated as that may kill spontaneity and may be a grinding process.

However I feel you are on to something that slipped my mind, I think we should have a comment section to the blog and if there is some criticism to be made(or praise for that matter) then it should be made there.

If something is overtly inflammatory or may hold something against the collectives ideals then we may bring it to discussion.

What do you think Comrade Positivist? and Comrade JPSARTRE?

Well my thought process is that since editing demands a reevaluation already, that it is better to do this democratically, with maximum input.

May I ask what the promoter position is? Also while it is not absolutely necessary, I imagine having narrator position would be greatly appreciated by many of our viewers (sadly I cannot apply for it due to lack of functioning microphone and having rather nasal and unpleasant voice but if somebody else can fill it I believe it could help us greatly).

Well this is just staffing for writing a periodical right now, any later video projects will need different roles.

as stated in a previous posting, i will be writing short stories and other politically themed or narrative works. obviously this is going to have a different feeling than a journalist so will there be a separate section for the writing itself, i.e. under a "freelance writers" section? i could "manage" it

When the blog is here you can post it into a respective category but right now it would be good to know what it is you are writing.Remember, we want as much freedom for our writers as possible as long as no racist,sexist or anything of the sort against our ideals.

I nearly have an article finished on why America opposes Socialism. Is roughly 1000 words an adequate size?

TheMza, I advise that you go around the internet looking for a topic, If that fails then you could open a book from a Marxist and do a report on it.

You can write on anything you feel like writing. It should have a perspective that is to include the struggle of the proletariat and this leaves a wide variety of topics. We can review books and movies too in order to provide a good analysis of them. You can look at the categories we are covering too in order to get some ideas. You can also cover current events and news both local and international. So there is a great degree of freedom to choose what you want or you can ask the editors for suggestions. They can help provide direction and topics too. The editor staff is Comrades Unite!, Positivist, JPSartre12, and myself. Feel free to PM any of us for answers to any questions.

We can fit this in as a "Short Stories" subcategory under the entertainment section or maybe create a Literary Works category for short stories and poetry. We will have to discuss this a little to find the appropriate placement. What do you think is best?

I agree with Comrades Unite! that this will drag out the publication of the articles and that it would be better if the editors work on this rather than a long process. We will have to discuss this further as part of the infrastructure issues for submission of articles.

Yeah that sounds like a good title. Most of the article focuses on anti-socialist proaganda and how people have been fooled into believing that the American Dream is actually achievable.

Well, I'm not good with computers or other languages, so I'm out of programmer, graphics and translator.

However, I know how to research and write an essay from two history classes. I'd imagine I'd be able to write a media story, given some time perfecting it. As such, I could be a researcher and a journalist. However, I'd prefer to do my own research for my own articles. I can, though, help some people if they need it (finding, interpreting and criticising sources).

Also, I'll need to warn you that i may not be able to write a piece every day, as I may be busy with an assignment or something else. However, I'd love to help out by writing and publishing my works.
