I'm not sure if this is an "dead" group or not, but I figuered I'd try posting an idea I had. Would it be possible to to apply a Marxian perspective to High School social classes, and how it would be to liberate the Student proletarian from the the bouergois deans. Any thoughts on this?

No, as most teachers who teach in high school are mainly capitalists. From what I've seen, anyways.

they don't own any means of production... they're all workers.

Not what I meant. I probably should have said 'supporters of capitalism', huh?

I believe that yes, we can divide students in High School into classes (and not Math classes). But I don't see any point in trying to overthrow the teachers and principals.

At my school, the teachers are fair, accept my ideologies (some even support them), and I'm friends with many of them. The teachers I am at odds with, I admit, I could have avoided being a jackass (but it is the head of department math, and he does have strong capitalist connections).

Because of this, I see any form of rebellion against them to just be pointless. I'm not being oppressed, I'm learning. In a socialist, communist and anarchist society, we will still have school, and we will still need teachers. As such, rebelling against them is not really justified, and it only hinders you, as you will be hindering your own education.

However, if they were oppressing you, and every other student (detentions for no real reason etc), then you may have a case on your hands.

My history teacher is a communist. She even wore heaps of Lenin, Castro, Che etc. badges on casual day.
