Has anyone ever read this work by Lenin? It seems kind of like a major work, and surprise, surprise, its not in my progress publishers collected works, nor is it on MIA. Wondering if anyone who is knowledgeable about the book can give me a synopsis. It would also be cool if the text was uploaded, only copy of it I was able to locate were some old International Publshers vols. someone was selling online.

It's an old translation, that's why only old International Publishers volumes have it.

I'm pretty sure this is it (even though the title is different, it has that Lenin quote about state-capitalism that left-coms take out of context and which Mattick quoted, citing it as part of "Towards the Seizure of Power"): http://www.marxists.org/archive/leni...htci/index.htm

"Towards the Seizure of Power" is basically a collection of Lenin's writings and speeches from July-November 1917.

All of the contents of that book can be found in the collected works Volumes 25 and 26.

Thank you, I didn't know it was a collection of writings - It seemed mysterious to me that this 300+ page work by Lenin existed out there that I never had heard of before recently - makes sense that its a collection.
