today in school we presented our third party projects I supported a democratic socialist agenda, Legalization of Marijuana, Anti-Imperialism. All was going well till my fellow students saw I supported Gay Marriage...wow bigotry...even today homophobia...wow...and to think these kids are our future...i weep for the future these are the kids that the Right has reached...these are the kinds of kids Michelle Bachman would smile and pat their backs...man fuck the right fuck all of those who say we are immoral!

I think what area you live is the primary factor;writing people off because of age doesn't solve anything when it is the beliefs that they have been exposed to. Does your school (OP) have a Gay-Straight Alliance?

I work at at a school and we don't even have a gay-straight alliance group or anything. That sounds really aggravating and frustrating as a queer myself. (Though I am anti-marriage as a whole)
