With so much support for anti-theist on the left, I find it hard to understand why many of you are against militant atheism, can someone explain to me why anti-theist are against atheist who are anti-theist .

In short, I think it is cause many view religion as a sub-problem, that can be solved by implementing socialism/communism and an atheist state. Many just get angry over creationism and such trying to get in to the public education, and private schools that only exist on the ground that they're theist, therefore they're allowed to teach "science" after their perspective of view.

Yet even here I see many people who are against a atheist state

As an anti-theist atheist, I'm against state atheism because it discriminates against agnostics, why should they suffer discrimination because of religious problems in the world?

I don't thing that a atheist State would be that much against agnostics, as they don't alreadt support a theist system of one or other.

I am a militant atheist, or state atheist if you will. But my possible explanation for why many communists these days aren't state atheist is maybe because in other historical examples of atheist states, religion still persisted even if it was/is underground. History seems to show many times over that any sort of violent repression of any religion does not completely destroy it and there will still be practitioners of the religion regardless of any illegality. I would not advocate a violent repression of the religions, but rather public criticism and discourse and of course the state's official policy to be state-atheism.

Since Paganism usually refers to polytheists and anyone not from an Abrahamic religion, then yes Paganism still is practiced today as Hinduism, Buddhism, Shintoism, and other animist religions. I also used to work with a guy who practiced ancient European paganism. They're still around.

Then why can't atheism, just replace the current main Theist, just like they did the old ones?

I didn't say that it couldn't. I am all in favor of atheism taking over and all religion dissolving. I already said that in my first post.
