Should you feel a sense of deja vu on encountering this group, you would not be wrong. As a result of an unfortunate accident, or careless mistake, the old For genuine free access communism group was deleted by Admin in July 2011 after barely a year in existence. That was a great shame. The group had begun to build up a reasonable membership - some 75 members at last count - making it the fourth or fifth largest organisation/party on Revleft. There had not been a great deal of discussion to date but, clearly, as a quick check through some of the threads (particularly in the Leaning forum) would suggest, there is a great potential - and need - for a group of this kind.

So without further ado let me relaunch For genuine free access communism This time round, lets try to get some serious discussion going on the subject!

In this "Introductions" thread, please introduce yourself as a new member. Tell us something about yourself and your political background and perhaps something about why the concept of a free access communist alternative to capitalism interests you

Hi, I am Bob the vegan socialist communard. I always wanted free access socialism since age 12 in 1960. I have been figuring out how it might be achieved since then. I call the result of my thinking the flexi co-op. That is to say a co-op in which all the members help each other when they are not interacting with the rest of society to get money to survive inside capitalism until capitalism collapses due to everyone leaving to join flexi co-ops. This could take three or four decades or a million years, except if it doesn't happen in three or four decades we probably won't have a million years.

    Cheers,

    Bob
