  2. 'The film then focuses on his fantasies and the torture he inflicts. One scene involves him wrapping barbed wire around his penis and raping the woman at the end of the centipede, having become aroused by the sight of his victims being forced to defecate into each others' mouths.'

    Even better than the first.

The first one was a great comedy. It was amusing, since the trailer made it out to be some kind of ultra-disturbing horror film, when the actual movie was just a ridiculous exploitation romp, featuring great ham acting from Dieter Laser (that guy is my hero). Between him and the Japanese "samurai" guy, many laughs were had by me. It was also one of the few modern mad scientist films that I can think of.

Agreed I thought it was rather comedic especially with his explanations of what a Human Centipede exactly was.

    The Sequel seems promising however.

I can't believe they still ban movies in Britain. Isn't that an act against free will?

Anyway, I watched it a couple times with people who thought it was totally gross and horrifying. When I watched it, it still didn't give me the effect Cannibal Ferox did.

Can't you still order them from the US though?

Yeah...the BBFC basically just dictates what can and can't be distributed within the borders of the UK, according to the UK's morality laws or whatever. So that means if they refuse certification, then your film is banned from the UK. However, that does nothing to stop online downloading and torrenting, so it's kind of a joke in the age of the internet.

You can still order it from the online sites and have it sent to the UK, although you run the risk of it getting seized by customs if you were to go that route.

I saw it. It was boring.

The first one, I kinda liked because of Dr. Heiter's over-the-top performance.

But this movie just wanted to "disturb" you and it fails because it's obvious in what it's trying to do. Nothing wrong with some shocksploitation but I've seen much more interesting shock films than this.

Anyway, unless it has actual snuff, child- and/or animal pornography in it, it shouldnt be banned.

Dr. Heiter was awesome. Martin was downright creepy in all the wrong (=right) ways.

Loved the second film, the first one didn't faze me that much worth anything besides having a hilarious plot. B/W made it so much more creepy.
