Does anyone know of any protests planned for the near future in either Lansing or another city? Also I think we should keep a thread up about future protests or actions going on in the state, so we can make sure everyone knows about it.

The Occupy movement has set up in Grand Rapids, Lansing, Detroit, Ann Arbor, and Flint to my knowledge. There may be more cities. I've been to Lansing's and Detroit's. Occasionally they hold marches, protests, and particular demonstrations. I found the general assemblies to be tedious and boring (and downright unbearable to stand around in in the Michigan winter), but you can certainly get involved. The IWW occasionally holds demonstrations in Grand Rapids. I don't know about the rest of the state. Of course the UAW is active across the state and has been historically quite vocal.
