Here in Sweden they're the closest match to the environment I was in with the ISO in the States.

Do you know the American section of the CWI is Socialist Alternative? Why choose the ISO specifically?

I was with the ISO for 18 years in the States and, frankly, never ran across Socialist Alternative. They certainly didn't exist in Iowa City in 1989 when I was looking for an organization to join, and I never saw them in DC for the fourteen years I was there. And what's wrong with comparing two different organizations favorably? The RS is doing a lot of what the ISO does, and I felt right at home with them immediately.

I'm not saying you should answer yourself to me or anything, I was merely wondering as most of the time most trots are rather petty sectarian on membership issues

Keep that broad brush away from me. I daresay most of the people I know in the ISO would probably have done the same thing, given the IST presence here in Sweden is a tiny group in Gothenburg.
  11. Smyg
The reason I joined the Swedish section is that they're the only socialst group with a presence in my hometown.
