Cuba is the only country to stay true to socialism

Cuba is the only socialist country to prove how great socialism can actually work. They have the lowest unemployment rate in the world (only 1%) and the highest literacy rate in the world (99%) not to mention some of the best and most humanitarian doctors to ever walk the earth. Most of the Cubans who left were the rich ones (which would explain why out of all the Hispanic groups Cuban-Americans tend to be the most well off and I don't it's because Cubans are naturally smarter or business orientated people) who didn't want to share a piece of their pie and the poor ones just end up in ghettos. When Cuba is at its worst everyone still gets their food, water, and healthcare when America is at its best 40,000 people still die a year form not having healthcare. Sure there are improvements to be made in Cuba but I think most people can agree that these statements are true.

These statements by xx1994xx are exactly right, just like how none of the laborers were jumping over the Berlin wall...only the professionals who wanted to be in a capitalist run country to use the free education they received from the socialists for profit.

In order to become a truly great country, Raul Castro needs to allow freedoms that Fidel did not, internet access, freedom of speech, removal of the one party system, etc. but he needs to maintain all the good that Fidel has done for Cuba, ultimately I'd say I'm more pro-Cuba than pro Castro, but Castro helped get Cuba where it is

    internet access, freedom of speech
The only reason to why Cuba doesn't have much internet access is because the embargo imposed by the United States has blocked all internet access through cable wires since most of them run through the united States. Most of the internet access Cuba has is through dial-up which is incredibly slow so most internet access is through public computers. However, Venezuela is making a deal to let Cuba's internet access run through Venezuela's cables. Freedom of speech is allowed as many Cubans in Cuba will openly criticize but there is no opposition in the media for reasons of media bias. It's not a paradise but the place has made progress especially considering the circumstances.
