Even though it is anti-Stalin and anti-USSR, I like "Animal Farm" by George Orwell. It's a good read IMO.

"Beatles" by the norwegian writer Lars Saabye Christensen. Has several references to the whole Marxist-Leninist-Maoist movement that was going on in Europe in the late 60s and early 70s.

Theres also a book by the norwegian writer Dag Solstad called "Gymnaslærer Pedersens Beretning Om Den Store Politiske Vekkelsen Som Har Hjemsøkt Vårt Land". It basically mocks the norwegian Maoist Party and all the crazy shit they did back in the 70s. Its based on the writers own experiences, which is interesting. I dont think it was ever translated into english though.

    Homage to Catalonia.
  8. Црвена
Island by Aldous Huxley is a utopian novel and the society is kind of communist, that's the closest I've got. Most of the authors I read seem to be Democrats.
