Hello, I'd like to greet my comrades form Michigan and being a comrade form the upper Peninsula, offer my hand in inter-peninsular peace between us. Aside from saying hello, I was wondering what the possibilities might be with organization of state efforts and informal meetings. How involved are you guys with the socialist parties in Michigan and how might we find a way of working together?
The only organization I've joined is the IWW. I haven't really looked into joining any socialist parties...yet

I was thinking of going to the mass meeting for the Socialist Party of Michigan tomorrow in Ypsilanti. Have any of you been involved with them? I am a communist, not a socialist, but it seems better than nothing.

I am a communist, not a socialist, but it seems better than nothing. I too have been considering being involved with them because there aren't very many options in the state as a whole. I would only get involved with the IWW or another union if I were working at a place I planned to stay at for a few years and where unionizing would make more practical sense for me or if my workplace were already unionized of course.
