Left Communist organisations?

I know of the ICC, but what other left communist organisations are there (particularly ones with branches/groups in Britain) and how do they differ?

I've also heard that left communists generally manage to avoid the fetish for splitting exhibited by other tendencies like the trots, but I'm not sure how true this actually is?

    thanks

Well other than the ICC theres the CWO which is affiliated with the ICT (formerly IBRP). When it comes to the big issues such as national liberation, the role of unions, parliamentarism, popular fronts etc the two groups are very similar.

Here's two threads on libcom that try to clarify the differences between the two groups. The first one is the more interesting, with members from both groups discussing their respective differences.

On the issue of splits, of course the ICC don't have a fetish for them, but they have occurred and from what I've read have been quite nasty. But I'll let someone from the ICC talk about that if they like.

Depends how wide you want to cast the "Left Communist" net, and what you consider a "group", really. The two "major" - in the sense that any Left Communist group can be called major these days - groups are, as was mentioned, the ICC and ICT. Other groups I can think of include International Perspectives, OpOp in Brazil, Internationalist Voice in Iran, and groups in South Korea and Nicaragua (I think). Doubtless there are others.
