Just wondering, been from Ireland myself, are many of the people who post on this website working in the real world to change things or do they just like talking about it? Ive asked a few questions here and got a few good answers, but in between that the amount of people who would rather be sectarian because you dont fit in with their exact left wing view and do nothing, compared to going out and doing something is unreal.
In fairness, I think the Irish contingent on here is actually fairly active in different organisations, to one degree or another. There are a few unactive types but some of that is due to age and geographical isolation.
I'm in an awkward situation where 1) The main place in my eyes seems to be Dublin, which location-wise poses a problem for me getting there 2) There isn't a lot of active support in my area. I'd like to start something up but I couldn't possibly do it on my own Anyone I could link up that could point me in the right direction would be much appreciated
I am, to a certain extent. The problem I have is that, while I identify myself as a Socialist Republican, I sometimes feel bad about my lack of knowledge as far as having an in-depth knowledge of politics, theory, history etc goes. I try to read as much as I can, but sometimes I struggle to get my head around it so I end up not absorbing as much information as I want to. Any learning tips would be much appreciated!
Still and always active. :-)
