How do you see your union going global, that is, really uniting the workers of the world? Is globalizing even a goal in your union or are people fighting it in favor of nativist/protectionist perspectives? My union falls into the latter, although there is some lipservice paid for the need to network. I've tried to get our upper levels on board with this but they've got better things to do like organizing and shit. Anyhow I'm curious what kind of talk this has got out there.
My union can barely keep the local situation under control, let alone allocate resources to global fights.
