Especially with cheaper pre-rolled cigarettes, the tobacco's often not packed very well and you need to pack it all down to prevent it turning into a Victory Cigarette. Until I knew this little trick I was just taking one out and thumping it filter side down on the back of my hand a few times, which had led to some accidents in the past. So, here's a better way to do it: Take the full pack with all your ciggies in, with the top closed. Turn it upside down and really thump the top of the pack hard against a table or the back of your hand for a good minute or so. Open up the packet and 'voila all your ciggies will be perfectly packed in the packet ready to smoke. They actualy come out better this way than doing them individualy. I havent tried it on one of the American "soft" packs though and I'd imagine that this method would just be asking for trouble with those lol.
