What is your favorite book, novella, short story, or poem?
Very hard awnser. I think my favorites by J.R.R. Tolkien are The Hobbit, The silmarillion, and the lord of the rings. My favorite by H.P. Lovecraft would be The dunwich horror. And Beowulf, Of course!
A very hard question indeed. Generally I like Jules Verne type sci fi. Probably 20 000 Leagues Under the Sea would be my favourite.
Novel: 'The King of Elfland's Daughter' by Lord Dunsany. Poem: 'The Hashish Eater' by Clark Ashton Smith.
as said abve, bloody hard question. off the top of my head, i would say "A Scientific Romance" by Ronald Wright
Anything by H.P. Lovecraft!!!!
Stranger in a Strange Land (Heinlein) Dune and Dune Messiah (Herbert)
For Whom The Bell Tolls
Really tough decision. Honestly, it's tied between The Road to Wigan Pier (George Orwell) and Black Boy (Richard Wright).
Metro 2033 by Dmitry Glukhovsky. If non-fiction, then Homage to Catalonia.
cormac mccarthy, hemingway, lovecraft, baudellaire,

Les miserables was amazing long but amazing
Howl and America by Allen Ginsberg, Piken På Anatomi Kammeret and For Trykkefriheten by Henrik Wergeland, Jeg Ser by Sigbjørn Obstfelder, Nøkken by Johan Sebastian Welhaven and Gjennemskuet by Olaf Bull are some of my favorite poems. Im also a big fan of Shakespears sonnets.
i dont think any of my favorites are really the 'greatest' i've ever read, just what i like the best, and this is a damn hard question. off the top of my head: book- dhalgren, novella- heart of darkness, play- the eumenides or ajax or hamlet, poem- something by baraka, ginsberg, or lorde
