SAV under attack from Linksjugend leadership

I am sure there will be an article about this on socialistworld soon enough, but I'd just like to not that the leadership of the Linksjugend, die linkes youth organization, has a link on their main website that calls for nothing short of each and every member of the SAV to leave. Why? While refusing to make any political criticism (saying SAV has "some good ideas" and that "tratskyism should be acceptable in linksjugend") they attack SAV for having membership dues, fulltimers and for selling papers. Theyopenly admit some of their slanders are based on hearsay and also make the incredible statement that "some members" of linksjugend would think it undemocratic to allow an organized tendency.

This is compeltly outrageous, but just as we eventually won out in Die Linke over the attempt to expell our members in berlin, when the leadership were foolish enogh to publish this "demand" openly on tehir website resulting in a storm of protests from local organizations, I do think this new attack will play in our favour.

Wow, not even the Dutch SP and their youth organisation ROOD ever gave much attention to us that publically...

Thank you for the caring attention and pointing out the way to the principled socialists, my dear young bureaucrats

Is that not more a testament to the youthful age of the organization (that Die Linke is younger that the Dutch SP)? Bureaucracies take time to solidify, you know.

I'd like to add some theoretical spice here: the real reason for their attitude towards the SAV boils down to the questions of transnationalism, internationalism, and "international brotherhood of the peoples." Die Linke is a nationalist (not in the right-wing pejorative sense) organization. The CWI is an internationalist organization. The USFI is an "international brotherhood of the peoples." The IST group in Germany broke relations with their big group to be a national tendency within Die Linke.

Absolutly, as I said, they even half-way say that "some comrades" (were these comrades members of the leadership perhaps) felt it undemocratic to allow organized tendencies. Of course we have been, as most of our sections have been I'd wager, accused of being controlled from London aswell. hahahah.

Well, a lot of bureaucrats did come from the PDS.

Where are you going with this? A mere conflict between the views on internationalism? I think that is too simplistic.

Unfortunately most members of linksjugend (mostly petty-bourgeois "radical leftists" who dislike everybody even talking about class struggle) seem to believe what the leadership writes, and I think it's rather likely we're going to be expelled at the next national congress in March. However, the minority of principled socialists and people who are open to marxist ideas were quite offended by the leadership's behavior.

It sounds to me there need to be some preparations made on taking as many with us as we can when they purge us out.
