i read about malthus and i read a paragraph in which is said that malthus thought that work would get dissvalued one day as working class would dominate or similar ? that work would become cheap and that there would be more workers than needed how can work be dissvalued , work is what makes everything around us ? everyone is supposed to work. and naturaly everyone should be able to make benefit out of it for himself and others... also work doesnt have to be physical work only... what do you think ?
Just shows how messed up this guy is. Even in a communist society work will be needed. Without work how would the things we need get produced?
Currently there are more workers than needed, that is a big reason why some workers have trouble bargaining for better wages and working conditions. Labor, as we currently view it, is essential to any society. The only way for labor to devalue is if there is an overabundance of workers and a minimal amount of capitalists. In socialism, I would imagine that there would be no capitalists.
