I never understood why anyone would choose as his avatar one of the most iconic photographs of the GPW - and then try to trash the Red Army! /me scratches head in puzzlement.
Soldat was an interesting character for sure. I bashed him for defending the US's nuking of Japan. He said the nuking was ok when it actually caused suffering for civilians more than anything.

Even if I were to begin talking about rape or atrocities commited by the Red Army durring WWII I fail to see how incidents of rape and sexism in the modern US Army serve to justify it.
