Hoping to do Edinburgh this August

  1. Angry Young Man
    Angry Young Man
The plan for the year is to get something written by August to perform at the festival. I wonder if anyone knows how to go about sorting the venue etc. out, and do they perform children's stuff.
I have three projects at the mo: one is a tragedy about a peasant whose brother was sent to become a priest and tells him about Wat Tyler's rebellion. If there's any history students here, they'll probably pick factual holes in it till it's threadbare. The second is set in a living room with various revolutionaries in a fictitious civil war which is lost. The third is a comic children's version of Animal Farm designed to snatch the book back from the right (I hereby veto any debate which eventually transforms into a bitter argument between those who admire Orwell as a writer and those who never forgave him for the blacklist). Besides, it'd be funny if right-wingers took their kids to see it and realised that the writer of the play is a marxist
