I do not consider myself a Maoist, but this is one of my favorite pamphlets written by Mao, entitled "COMBAT LIBERALISM!"

It defined the very essense of Liberalism as a manifestation of Opportunism, in a VERY down to earth and fascinating way.

Its a must read for any anti-Revisionist reguardless of your personal beliefs as to what exactly revisionism is, (be you Marxist-Leninist, Maoist, or a follower of Juche)

I agree! There's an audio recording from Marxists.org made into a video here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a-HVRDirbnU

Just in case one is too lazy to read.

While I am not a Maoist I have a great respect for Mao in combating librealism and revisionism. He will not be forgotten.
  4. Wakizashi the Bolshevik
Chairman Mao was a great leader and general.
He was imperative for the struggle against liberalism and revisionism.

A good article and a good video adaption (although some of the pictures seem irrelevant). Its such a good summary of liberalism I'll keep it in my 'revision' list of anti-revisionism.

Mao was awesome at being a Chinese Nationalist and invading Vietnam right after defeating the US in their genocidial war against them.

Mao was awesome at starting a border war with India causing the Left Government to expel the communists from it.

Mao was awesome at killing life-long communists and revolutionaries when they didn't agree with them.

Mao's great leap forward was the best leap off a cliff ever.

Maoism is awesome at killing communists and trade unionists world wide because they aren't Maoists.

I see all these posts defending Stalin by you, and then this?

I'm a Marxist-Leninist, an anti-revisionist Marxist-Leninist. I see Marxism-Leninism as the iron sight of Class Struggle, of revolutionary struggle, to the left of Marxism-Leninism is failure and to the right of Marxism Leninism is Defeat. And many Marxist-Leninists across this planet have been killed by Maoist organization, in Turkey, Peru, Philippines and others.

I agree, but remember comrade we must keep an open mind.

Mao contributed good things and bad things to Socialist theory. As he grew older, he became increasingly Reactionary, this is true.

The last good work (in my humble opinion of course) he wrote was 'Twenty Manifestations of Bureaucracy' in 1970, yet even in this i note at least one Anti-Leninist statement, which can be properly noted as such as on analyses his work, and before that, pretty much nothing free of his opportunist tendency till the 40's.

However as Stalin and Lenin teaches in their works reguarding Dialectical and Historical Materialism, we must remember that things are all ways changing, very few things are set in stone, and when approaching problems we must keep this thoughts in the back of our heads.

When reading and discussing Mao there is nothing wrong with agreeing with some of the things he has to say, he was after all not an unintelligent man. This does not make you a Maoist, as you need only make clear your criticisms of Mao.

A great book I read thanks largely to the Hoxhaists in this group, was Enver Hoxha's "Imperialism and Revolution", which included a chapter against "Mao TseTung Thought". http://www.marxists.org/reference/ar...ev/imp_ch6.htm

It presented compelling arguements against the Cultural Revolution, and Maoism in general, and spoke out quite firmly against it. Yet if you read it carefully it allows for some of the positive contributions of the chairman as well, and there is nothing wrong with noting that, and sharing such works with other Marxist-Leninist comrades.
