I suggest you read Red Star Over China by Edgar Snow, and the works of Mao during the Chinese Civil War era to understand what the CCP had to do to make revolution, even with Soviet opposition and with Soviet support. It's an interesting time that shows that we have to be innovative and independent- even among our allies- when it comes to making history.

There were also other factors, however, that were controversial in many different ways. The AUCP(b), in the mid-to-late 1920's, was against the CCP launching the people's war against the Nationalist government, and wanted the Communists to remain subordinate to the Nationalists in the name of national development and unity. However, the Nationalists continued to suppress the efforts of the Communists, and it was Mao who had to actually break with Stalin and take an independent road to make revolution. Mao also rejected the Comintern's call for the Popular Front (which proved disastrous) and instead engaged with the Nationalists in the United Front, which was based on strategic equilibrium and the strong guiding hand of the Communist Party. Mao also rejected the traditional Moscow thesis of what Communist revolution looked like, and in the end he made revolution and Stalin, in some ways, thanked Mao for proving him wrong.

The relationship between the Chinese and Soviet parties is a complex one.

On one hand, the USSR was a great friend to the Chinese people in their struggle against Japanese and Western imperialism, and sent a great deal of aid to the development of China in both the revolutionary and non-revolutionary zones within the vast country. After the people's war was victorious in 1949, the CPSU helped the CCP in building the new China in the spirit of internationalist solidarity and socialist development.
  6. Brother No. 1
    the former.

Uh, you mean the AUCP(B) and the CCP from 1921-1952, or are we talking the current CCP and the current AUCP(B) that's run by that Andreeva lady?
  8. Brother No. 1
Do you know much of the relations between the CCP and the All-Union Communist party(Bolshevik)?
