Conversation Between gorillafuck and counterblast

  1. The BPP male leadership were notoriously sexist out of public, are you familiar with Elaine Brown? She talked about it quite a bit (and she was a prominent BPP member).

  2. I haven't really heard any specific allegations of Huey Newton being sexist? If anything, my research on the BPP has seemed to imply that they were among the least sexist radical groups of the era?

    Obviously the best known anti-sexist/anti-homophobia statement written by Huey being this one;

  3. Just out of curiosity, how do you feel about Huey Newtons rampant sexism? Does it make you not have a positive view of the BPP? (I personally think the BPP was a great organization though I would be very critical of that aspect).
  4. That seems like a silly reason to me, because I mean one way to be taken seriously if you are not is to have a presence. But also based on what I've seen it doesn't seem to me like people don't take you seriously.
  5. I occasionally post in Sciences/Environment and Philosophy; but I usually stick to Discrimination because I don't really feel like my ideas are taken seriously most other places.
  6. Why do you never post outside of the discrimination forum (as far as I've seen)?
