Hiya, you seem to know a bit on Chinese history so I was wondering if you'd seen in the Learning forum this thread on "Chinese communes". Thread title is a very ambiguous term, seeing as some 'communes' were organs of the CP (?), and others were actually a product of independent working class self-activity. I was thinking about the Shanghai commune that was suppressed by Mao during the cultural revolution. Yet there is a Hoxhaist in there taking a dig at "communes", asserting that cannot lead to the "final communist society", which really highlights the theoretical bankrupty of such an ideology. Thought you might be interested anyway, or if you have the time you might wanna make a comment. (and as I say, my knowledge in this area is patchy, so some of the above might be erroneous) Thanks
