I admit that some discussions get out of hand. However, in many of those cases I'm responding to very pointed and IMO unfair criticism of my party and tendency. At that point, it shouldn't be a surprise if things get heated. That being said, I do feel I keep it civil with posters who are not so blithely condemnatory.
