yes mechwarrior 2 merc was awesome. Especially after that one patch that changed how salvage worked.... I remember that after a mission where you could salvage something (say the final mission of training), salvaged everything you could, save your game, play on until you got to a point to where you salvaged something awesome (like say a madcat), save the game, load the previous save, and you could salvage the madcat in the first training mission. CLAN MECHS IN IS MISSIONS FTW.
