Conversation Between CartCollector and Jacobinist

  1. Organizing shouldnt be too difficult. We got facebook, myspace, twitter, the internet. They did it back in the day without any of today's contemporary technology; no cell phones, no gps, probably not even phones. Im sure we'll find a way. The problem is, and I think its the biggest obstacle, getting our protetarian message to not only reach people (which itself is hard) but also to convince people. And in the US, after nearly 100 years of Red Scares and Cold War propaganda, that will be tough.
  2. Can you imagine that instead of armed teabaggers at 'health-care' debates, you would have had armed black panthers, or militant trade unions? Can you imagine the way the media would have attacked them as 'reactionaries.' Another thing, Im sure you've heard of all the recent attacks on federal buildings being carried out by these right wing extemists, right? The guy who flew into the Texas IRS building, the guy who attacked the pentagon, etc. Have you noticed that despite the obvious, the media doesnt want to name these rightwingers as terrorists? When its obvious that those were terrorists acts.

What I mean by "pouring cement over the left's grave" is that the elite leaders of the Tea Party want to move the US even more rightward while there isn't any real left in America to defeat. They pretend like Obama is the be-all end-all of leftism, and that no one is more left than he is, excluding a huge amount of socialist, communist, and anarchist arguments from the public discourse.

It would be nice if we could organize, but how? You have to remember that the teabaggers have corporate and media backing. If we ever tried to do something similar, not only would we lack their funding, we would also be unable to turn the media to our side. A corporate controlled media isn't going to be very willing to show anti-corporatists in a positive light.
  4. How is the tea party pouring cement over the lefts grave?

I dont get that comment, if anything, the tea party should moblilize the left to unite and form a front, not bend over for those teabagger trash
