no problemrio dude, take a lookds at truecrypt if you haven't yet, you can dfdcreate a virtual encrytploed drive to hold data you want to keep under wraps. it shows up asd random data unless you know how to decrypt. the best thing to do when yopu get a new hard drive is to plug it up, then run a linux boot cd, and run dd if=/dev/urandom of=/dev/sdb1 (or whatever the drive is) before you use it so that way it's random data on the drive instead of 0's and it's harder tot rwll where the regular data stop and encrypted data start (imagine a new drive in low-use with all 0s then a small region, say 1GB on a 1TB drive, of random data out of nowhere?)
Thanks for all your good work with the cyber-security stuff, too. Wish I knew more about the topic. I've been experimenting lately with encrypting hard drives, but I have nothing that anyone would find interesting on my computer, so it seems kind of pointless...(watch, tomorrow someone will steal my identity or something) I'd like to try out Tor at some point.
I completely agree. Growing up watching that shit, and the surprisingly weird Rocko's Modern Life, and Ren & Stimpy, etc, it's no wonder I love H.P. Lovecraft and other dark and twisted shows/books/art now. Ever watch The Marvelous Misadventures of Flapjack? It's kind of like this generation of kids' Courage the Cowardly Dog.
hoo hoo hoo hoo I am an amnesia specialist I like Courage the Cowardly Dog, in particular the animation/art style it has. I really like it's super dark, horror movie-esque aesthetic. Whoever did the drawing for it had some good artistic influences.
