Sorry, you remind me of an older user and I may have forgotten that you probably haven't seen my older posts. No, I'm not, but I've read Mao as well as about the history of Maoist China. I was a Marxist-Leninist-Maoist in high school (I even met members of the RCP of Canada), so that really influenced my political development as a radical leftist, but nowadays I consider myself a Libertarian Socialist. I have objections to Maoism, but I still think it's important to keep the historical record straight amidst the library of distortions and half-truths about Maoist China.
I noticed you are getting fond of Mao. Are you a Maoist?
Yes, it's very easy to do the opposite of the quote but it's something we must practice and work on.
"A Communist must never be opinionated or domineering, thinking that he is good in everything while others are good in nothing; he must never shut himself up in his little room, or brag and boast and lord it over others." I don't know about you, but this Maoist dictum has resonated with me over the years, yet I still struggle with it. This is probably the easiest damn thing to do as a communist in the capitalist West. I've just been ruminating a little and thought I'd share that seeing as you're one of the few frequent posters I notice here who still identifies as a Maoist and might appreciate it.
