    I recognize that the US intervention in Haiti is not there only for the purpose of helping people, and that western nations have no interest in doing so without a reward, but I don't see how any people who were in immediate need could have been saved without an organized body coordinating things. I would prefer any other nation, but it is the US which is there, and that can't really be changed. We may as well have tried to save some people who were in immediate need
