yeah, I was thinking more along the lines that any info from Maoist is gonna be completely different than any non-Maoist. Even Chinese numbers would be propaganda because (I know most love to not mention or ignore this) when Xiopeng took power he did a lot of things to discredit Maoism and restore capitalism and grow the right wing of the party. The numbers will be biased no matter who puts them forward. Deng claimed Mao killed 50 million people. But anyone who looks can see those numbers are just pulled from a hat. So I'd love for you to forward any un-biased facts you find about the great leap forward to me lol. I wasn't trying to be mean or anything and sorry if I came across that way
