Conversation Between Noa Rodman and Die Neue Zeit

Noa, you might be interested in bringing up "exercise" vs. "conquest" of "power" in my new Theory discussion.

I've not read Louis Kelso's The Capitalist Manifesto. Do you askbecause of the SPD idea of confiscation through taxation? In the August 1925 issue of the SPD's theoretical journal Die Gesellschaft (edited by Hilferding) there is an article titled: Entschädigung oder Enteignung (compensation or confiscation) signed C. R. Atlee.

However, I couldn't find anything in those links that I could cite for future use, other than the comments on nationalizing land as a bourgeois measure.

Thanks for the reminder. Dashkovskij's argument is the same as Macnair's re. the pre-Orthodox minimum program.

@GB Much of Smirnov's critique of comintern program is against Bukharin's rejection of the minimum program. Interesting detail that Smirnov and Bukharin were on the same side (though Lenin then already favored Smrinov) earlier:

For Dashkovskij the "minimum" is restoration of the dictatorship of the proletariat. He condemns a minimum program in the economist sense (mere wage dispute), since a) anarchists, mensheviks do it already, b) it's dishonest not to say that wage increase, etc. actually encourages an economic crisis which the the opposition is not ready/too weak to seize as an opportunity.

Hello, Ghost Bebel. The ICC translated the 1927 platform of the Decists into English in the brochure you mentioned. It's quite long it seems. There were some letters recovered from the state archives, written by the Decists to each other when they were already expelled from the party, the translations are listed here: http://www.leftcom.org/en/forum/2011...communist-left

On Under the Banner of Marxism these are some translations:

And now I'm busy with one about the reclaiming forgotten French political economists in Smith's tradition.
