Don't know. They obviously didn't think they were. But I asked them to stop talking because I wanted to listen to the speakers etc and enjoy the rally. Multiple hints until I had to physically escape. I know they have good intentions but seem so disconnected from the people they are talking to. I know they aren't a reflection of the whole organisation and I could have just encountered a few crazies. It's a shame since I agree with much of their politics. I know a few people deterred from activism by the SA :/
Why were you harassed by the SA?
True, but with age comes intellectual development and you can't hold children responsible for their position in a monarchy for example. Anyway, awesome story about how you got into Marxism. Reflective on the shit education system too =P I'm 18 now. I was at a Sydney refugee rally the other day and was so harassed by the socialist alternative it was crazy - they seemed crazy. Literally. Turned me off a bit Yikes.

Age determines nothing - they are responsble for as much as they exploit. Anywho, I'm an anarchist atm. But I got into Marxism originally after I started making jokes about a russian substitute teacher I had last year supposedly being a communist - and one of the nights after I had her as a sub I decided to look up communism and I was pleasantly surprised.
Hey man, thanks for the encouragement. Thanks too for the corrections on freedom and socialism. Friggin good points! I think I did incorrectly conflate socialism with the revolutionary period. I also completely agree about how there should not be revenge against ex bougeoisie. I am sometimesunsure about some comrades hate for the bougeoisie. I can understand the hate for the class's actions - on principle etc but feel we should refrain from hating the person. What do you think? How old, or alternatetively, how educated or intelligent must someone be before they take responsibilty for their status as exploiters? Are you really only 14/15? Bloody impressive. How'd you get into Marxism anyway?
