Conversation Between Stalinist Speaker and Flying Purple People Eater

  1. and even the people that are from Belarus aren't really using Belarusian a lot (for example it is used in the busses in Belarus when they are closing the doors on the buss they say it on belarusian don't know why but people understand it,)
The language s almost never used on in regular day talking,
it can be used by right wing nationalists the same people that wave the white and red flag, the reason they say that the use of russian is because lukashenko is ruling some mini soviet dictatorship, and they say they want to remove all history from the USSR and instead sell the country to the west= so they are basically a bunch of idiots.
  2. Every one speaks Russian but not as many speak belarusian(but there are still many of them) some reasons why more people don't speak belarusian 1. under ww2 2/3 of the belarusian population died and some of those who survived might not have returned to their home after they fled the occupation, the people that moved to Belarus were from all over the soviet union so for example my grandmother was a russian came from Smolensk she was about 10 years old when Germany invaded the Soviet union, after the war she was moving around the country, when she was about 30 years old she lived in Riga, and later she moved to Minsk were she still lives,
so there are many other people mostly from countries around Belarus that live in Belarus.
  3. Yes, the main language has been Russian in Belarus since they became a part of the soviet union, and it still is the main language of Belarus. the 2 languages are anyways very similar and they are basically like the difference between norwegian and swedish. for example "Closes" as in the doors are closing Russian: "zakrivajotsja" Belarusian: (Zachinjaiotsja)

Hey there. I noticed you are from Belarus.

Could I ask you something about the state of the Belarusian language in Belarus? Is it true that more people speak Russian than Belarusian in Belarus?
