  1. Yes higher level of discussion needs to be appreciated regardless of who is using the terminology. Obviously the word liberal doesn't usually lead into the off topic discussion that Stalin or the Soviet Union does but it does require the correct application of the term.

    I'm no friend of Stalin (at all), but I think your point was absolutely valid: it's impossible to discuss anything when Stalin crops up in every thread, whether it's got anything to do with the topic or not. By the same token, I would appreciate if Anti-Revisionists wouldn't shout "liberal" at everything, whether it has got anything to do with actual liberalism or not. This kind of things works both ways.

    You repeated your very straightforward point several times, calmly - and yet people didn't seem to get their head around it. Too bad.
