Yeah, I bet! I have a friend or three who have lived in Macon at some point and they all came back with stories about how segregated and racist the place is. One said he lived there for so long it kind of became background noise, but when he moved back to where I'm from he was floored.
On the plus side, I'll never lose sight of the cause as I have a daily view of the disenfranchised working class.
