I can't really say that they are using a motive or something. sometimes GD is something neutral, the other time they show them like heroes (in their own media way) and sometimes they blame them for everything to draw the attention away from the scandals of the 'useless' government. It's the old timed classic recipe that the media use:use them however it's convenient.
Philosophos, could I ask you about how GD is portrayed in Greek media? I've recently watched a very disturbing documentary on how many news stations have purposely portrayed the group in a neutral-positive light, but it'd make more sense to get the opinion of someone actually living in the country.
