How did the USSR not invade Poland if the Red Army captured about 200,000 Polish PoWs? Did those just get lost and accidentally wander into Russian confinement?
Ireland has very few ordinary people that are outspoken which is unfortunate, but the Socialist Party are trying to get Abortion legal over here. Some people believe a women has no choice of what to do unfortunately, mainly the Centre-Rightists in the Oireachtas(Irish Parliament) however things are looking up as the Left wingers are fighting the fight for abortion and I'd imagine within 5-10 years it could be legalized.However if a Women desires an abortion she must take the plane or ferry over to the UK, Which to the financially deprived, is very hard.
Yeah, MIA is great. Some days I read stuff there for hours without noticing how the time is flying by. Hehehe, Hitler's repression tactics were actually based on Stalin's. But Stalin wasn't "far-right" economically, he was far-right socially. I can't say I've read a lot of Mao's writings. I've read most of Stalin's stuff, and it's basically a gross deviation from orthodox Marxism. Also, I've always wanted to ask an Irishman this, even though your country is a part of the western world and a member of the EU, abortion is illegal there. Is there widespread opposition to this? Or is most of the public so fiercely anti-abortion?
Greetings Comrade Borz Yes I am aware of the website MIA a website that so remarkably helped me through the ropes of Marxism, then Marxism-Leninism, then Marxism,Leninism,Maoism I also use From Marx 2 Mao although I do prefer the vast M.I.A as it provided a huge amount of writings from Marxists of all colors. I see you are a Trotskyist, Despite my ideology being of Maoism I infact agreed with Trotsky than I did with Stalin who bore extreme resemblance to that of the far-right,evident as Mussolini complimented him as did Hitler.
Also, if you want to, I can recommend to you a few elementary works that are quite important reads for an aspiring Marxist?
I pretty much agree with you. It's very interesting that you mention James Connolly, I really love that guy, he was a really outstanding Marxist. Anyways, as you're rather new around here, might I reccomend that you check out the Marxists Internet Archive, if you haven't already, it's an online collection of most writings of most historical Marxists, it's available in many languages but the English part has the most writings. http://www.marxists.org/ There's Connolly's section, it has a lot of stuff written by him. http://www.marxists.org/archive/connolly/index.htm
Hello Comrade Borz I believe in a United Ireland being held back by the imperialist monarchy and the running dogs such as the UVF, The subject of the IRA can be complicated, the original IRA fought for Irelands sovereignty from Great Britain and there were Socialists such as the great James Connolly they were the greatest men from Ireland, however the provisional IRA are a different story unfortunately, the majority of the members fight not for Socialism's cause but for private gain such as drugs,money which is highly unfortunate.
