Just being curious.
List any/all instruments you play.

I play keyboard/synth, and mess around on the mandolin.

I mainly play the accordion, have played numerous percussion instruments in the past and still play the bodhrán occasionally and a tiny bit of flute and tin whistle.

I can play Saz, fiddle, and harp.

All great instruments, especially the saz is one you don't hear too often and it has a superb sound.

Keyboard, bass and kinda drums myself.

That's not an instrument. I have an mp3 player: does that make me an mp3ist?

As soon as you can pull something like this off:

It takes years and years to be a good turntablist and it is true art when you get to that level.

Ay and all that practise could go to learning the guitar.

I play Violin, Viola, and the 'Cello.
Conduct orchestras and run musicals.
Violin at AMUSA level, Viola and 'Cello at Grd6.

While the DJ was skilled, I found it pointless, dull, and repetitive. Sorry if that offends...

Yeah, but different people like different instruments, so it's a matter of culture and taste (and purpose, you can't play a guitar and get a bboy battle going right!). Anyway, I'm just saying turntablism is an intricate and unique artform all its own.

Well like I said, it's a matter of taste so no offense taken. However, I should have noted that hip hop DJing has many other contexts, too:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_a_kF0ovJaA

If you listen to the original version of the first song ("Up from the South" by the Budos Band), it's much, much different from how the DJ cuts it for the battle (and IMO it's better here). Also, the DJ is responding to the bboys throughout the battle, putting on tracks and cuts which match their energy level and flow, kind of like how a conductor influences the direction of an orchestra depending on the situation.

Oh, and I used to play the cello and the djembe but I stopped both...cello because I got tired of it, djembe because I ran out of money for lessons and then went off to school. Tried bass guitar for a bit before going to college, too. Hopefully I can pick one or two back up sometime in the future.

Guitar (preferably acoustic), harmonica, vocals.

I used to play mandolin and bass

I've experimented with trying to learn the banjo and the key board.

... But banjo and I really didn't work well together.

I play didgeridoo, piano and bass guitar. Well I guess you could say I used to. My bass has been in fixing in a shop for several months now and I don't have the cash/motivation to pick it up, I was a mighty fine bassist when I had it though.

Piano, I'm ok at but I only play it every other day or so. I used to be a whore for my didgeridoo but now it just sits in my corner and I blow into it whenever I'm waiting for a loading time in a video game to finish or something, although I busk with it ocassionally.

I am a turntablist.

I've always been extremely interested in turntablism.
But I've never really had the dough to buy one.
Plus, I might be planning to buy one, then turn around and blow all my money on a bunch of shit.

I wish I could play an instrument. I'm pretty much musically challenged.

Magdalen

I'm a decent fiddle player, but I'm useless when it comes to classical music, which I haven't played since school. I also inherited a set of uilleann pipes recently, but there don't seem to be many teachers in my neck of the woods.

I play the drums, as in a drum set. I should branch out though, been thinking about adding some congas :)

Though I haven't been able to play too much lately. Had to move the baby back from the practice space a little while ago to my friends house, and every fucking time I begin to play the cops show up within 15 minutes, without fail. So I have play with pads on them but it just ain't the same :(

But hey, I need to drop some money on new heads and a new high-hat stand (from now on if someone is drunk and approaches my set they are going to get a drumstick through the eye) so it'll be a while anyway.

Also, I used to play saxophone back in middle school and freshmen year, and when I get some serious income I am definitely going to buy a sax.
