Why is 'Trotsky was a Jew' bolded, centred and capitalised?
But subjunctive history is such masturbation. It's no different to saying 'what if Othello had seen through Iago?' Similarly inconsequential to the present. It's only use is to favour Permanent Revolution over Socialism in one country.

Shit I forgot to mention that the fact that Trotsky was Jewish was what was really inconsequential, given that he was so keen on a red Germany

I think he might've been trying to say that Trotsky would have acted more aggressively towards Germany because of the latter's oppression against Jewish peoples.
Who knows. WW2 would've been different if the Anarchists had won in Spain, too.

Yeah. And Obama is going to save the US from the economic and financial crisis - the unwanted love child of the white oppressor. He's also going to put an end to all forms of discrimination towards Afro-Americans.

Trotsky thought the Soviet Union was going to lose the war with Germany and told the Russian soldiers to surrender.

Trotsky thought that the USSR would not survive WWII as a degenerated workers state. that there would be a political revolution or a socialist counterrevolution. He still saw the Red Army as the one he principally helped to build, don't know why he would tell them to surrender, especially with all his defense rhetoric.

Ironically that was the edge that Stalin had over Trotsky - preparation for WWII, though my earlier point was that Germany would have been the base of Trotsky's world revolution.
But the important matter is that Trotsky came out the worse from the power vacuum, that the Soviet Union - however degenerated - did not lose WWII and that Trotsky's family's religion doesn't really matter a wank to anyone about anything. Trotsky and Stalin were fighting for different directions of the future - now the present. Therefore we should be more interested in directing the future.
